The pause

Here is a link to the final Visual Commentary on Scripture reflection for Easter Eve, also known as Holy Saturday. Here is the image referred to in Ben Quash’s video.

Today we sit in the aching gap of Jesus taken from the cross and laid in a tomb. Anyone who has experienced the loss of a loved one will be familiar with the feeling of this day. In Christian faith, the day is a pause after tragedy before we celebrate the light of Easter Day. It is good to stop for a moment between Good Friday and Easter and sit with the “emptiness” and just breathe.

Here is some glorious music to accompany your reflection. Victoria’s Lamentations for Holy Saturday.
